Maison Gangnam - Sherbrooke

So you cook / grill your own food which is fun to do, you choose your meat and it came with soup, salad, kimchi etc. Affordable night out, can be great between friends and family.

Visited this restaurant while spending a day in down town Sherbrooke. Very clean restaurant. Not too busy when we arrived but slowly filled up.Staff is polite and very attentive!!Food was delicious. Mini bbq in center of table allows us to cook our own meat and vegetables. Very cool ambiance and pretty cool idea.The food was good, servings were adequate and comes with soup to begin, rice, dessert and tea. Reasonably priced for the amount of food you get.The waitress suggested food and showed us how to use the bbq. Loved the food and ambiance very much! Surprised that this restaurant didn't have more reviews. Personally I would return in a heart beat! Only down fall was on a very hot day sitting beside that bbq was very hot..hence the 4 stars instead of 5. However just a small detail that wouldn't be so bad in cooler seasons.

We discovered this place because we were late for lunch and everywhere else was closed around it. We like Korean BarbQ, and it was a new place we hadn't tried. We were glad we did. We were treated like royalty by Hung, the proprietor and chef, and the meal was a real treat. He had to remind us to use the tongs for cooking the meat and the chopsticks for eating....keep them separate! We each had one of the lunch combos, and there was plenty of food - a plethora for my meat-loving spouse. Next time I will order some of the grilled veggies too - we had a taster, but I like my veggies.There was soup to start, Kimchee in three versions and sauces for dipping if you like that kind of thing. We each had a starter too, all included. We thought it was Excellent Value for Money, and the fish and meats were tender, marinated, fresh, appealing. Apparently, it took awhile for them to get a liquor license, but he is fully equipped now. His rooms for groups in the back were well appointed and clean, which I can also say about the loos and the corners.Between the great food and the pleasant and helpful service, this new place gets top marks.

The thin crust pizza at this restaurant is excellent. The staff is friendly and speaks English, making it a great experience for tourists from abroad, especially those with children.

We chose to have dinner here one night while on a ski vacation at Mt St Anne.
