Bidrage med feedbackI thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday dinner experience at the Captain Howie pub in Littlestone, New Romney. The roast beef was cooked to perfection, accompanied by tender carrots, broccoli, and a delightful Yorkshire pudding. The gravy and roast potatoes added an extra layer of flavor that made the meal truly exceptional. Just as I thought this could not get any better, I was presented the most amazing homemade sticky toffee pudding that rounded off the afternoon on a sweet note. The attentive waitresses and Kayleigh, the landlady, provided excellent service, contributing to the overall positive dining experience. I would highly recommend Captain Howie for a delightful Sunday dinner outing especially after a long walk along the coastline.
The staff were lovely. The breakfast was great. Everything was clean. Beds comfortable. But the building and rooms look tired . Urgent need of a facelift and/or refurb.
Yummy great fresh food and plenty of it! Wonderful selection of old fashioned desserts. Highly recommended
We booked a table in the restaurant at the end of a train journey to see Santa. It was booked for 2.30pm. The train journey actually ran late so I phoned to explain and was told no problem. We arrived at the restaurant and were shown to our seats. Our drinks order taken promptly and after a little wait our food order. We did have quite a wait for the food the adults in our group were not fussed about this but for our young children having jacket potato and beans this surely could have been less. When the food arrived there was loads of it ! Obviously cooked fresh each meal (we had 3 different ones) were delicious and such generous amounts. We had no room for pudding ! All in all a very pleasant experience and we will certainly return soon. Thank you.
Booked earlier in the week to take the family for Sunday lunch, was offered the choice of a early or late sitting, the late sitting was best for us (2-30). Arrived in plenty of time and were seated. We were the last table to be called up to the carvery, only to find they had run out of Beef and had no roast potatoes left. Although we were not charged for the roast dinner, or lack of it, we didn't go there for a complimentary lunch, the last customer is as important as the first. This was most embarrassing for me taking my family for a Sunday roast to a place that mismanaged the amount of food required and then told us that other customers had taken too much. This was the worst Sunday lunch experience I have ever had. The one thing I have learned is never take a late sitting.
