They are also run as part of the local college to allow students with learning difficulties to gain life skills so not only do you get a lovely drink and welcome, you are also helping a local business support our young people. If you are passing go in and have a sit down, there are a few tables on the ground floor but also a room upstairs seating about 8 for meet ups, afternoon teas, etc. If you are off to London for the day start it off with a quick visit there, they are open 10.00 till 3.00. A little gem of a place and dog friendly as well, what is there not to love?
I was extremely satisfied with my visit my friend and myself were treated with a happy smiles and very pleasant too. I can not fault the Radnor park tea rooms I like go as and when I can. There is one thing that I wished could change and that is to have cash back as it is not always possible to have a card I feel some of the elderly people may no want to use it looking forward to the new year to try there soups. So stay safe and I would like to wish all staff a merry Christmas.
Just the place to sit and read a book with a nice coffee and the cakes are all homemade and delicious.
My wife and I came to day. It was our first visit but believe me when I tell you it will not be our last. The tearoom is run by Daniel who not only runs the tearoom he also teaches under privileged children to bake and make light lunches. The tearoom is subsided by East Kent College and all profits are put back into the community. It is a delightful old Park Keepers Lodge and if you are in the area it's well worth a visit.
Called in here with my partner to see what had been done to the place. He had a mocha with a scone I had a cup of tea a piece of cake. All delicious. Trade looked to be good, in fact while we were eating a couple of other people looked in but as there were no free tables they didn't stop. If that is the norm then a couple more tables would be good. Whilst there is not a huge amount of room I think there is enough space for another 2 or so tables. Nice to see this building put to good use at last. Good luck with your venture. We will certainly be back.
