Sassafras - Shelton

I absolutely love the food here, whether it's for breakfast or dinner! Here are some pictures of the chopped steak dinner with potatoes and my fresh fish and chips for dinner!

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted warmly and offered a choice of tables. It was around 9:30, and the place was approximately 15% full. A friendly server approached shortly after I was seated to take my order. I went with a classic: two eggs cooked medium, bacon, home fries, and rye toast. While waiting for my meal, I tried the coffee, which was quite good and served in a generously sized cup. My food arrived quickly and was cooked to my liking. The potatoes stood out, having the perfect taste and texture that I appreciate; they weren't overly crispy or dried out from excess starch. I enjoyed another cup of coffee before I left. If I'm ever in the area again, I’ll definitely make a point to return.

Wow! The banana chocolate pancakes are absolutely delicious and incredibly fluffy. The food is fresh, and the service is excellent! I felt right at home.

What a wonderful little jewel of a restaurant! The service is so fast and friendly. The prices are reasonable and the food is always delicious! But the bread pudding is for so much to die, so I went in and bought seconds! I love Sassafras!

Excellent eatery. A go to spot for me and my family. Food is great (I recommend the Cuban sandwich for lunch and Texas Melt for breakfast). The staff and family that owns this local staple are excellent and treat you like family. Cannot recommend more.
