Matto - Shelton

This was an excellent Girls Night Out location that would be excellent for any upscale dining experience! The restaurant is classy but not pretentious. The unique decor, extensive wine list, and helpful staff are what make this place stand out! Dining either indoors or outdoors here provide an excellent, charming experience, but above all, the food is EXCELLENT! We decided to get a few tapas to share, which is definitely the way to go if you want to try a lot of delicious in a short amount of time! 10/10

Great food, it's fresh; It has flavour. Normal size portions where the quality matters. We are regulars at this place; always with excellent service, specially by Sam (Lucia) the bartender, always smiling always attentive.

Food was great and the service was great. I wish I got the name of our server, she was very friendly to talk to. Another guy came up to our table (couldn't tell if he was the owner or chef) but I complimented him on the frose because it was one of the best I ever had and it's not bad for $8.

My heritage is Italian and for the majority of my life I lived in a Italian community in NY. When I moved ti Shelton Connecticut, I found myself in search of a good Italian Restaurant! My search ended when I found Matto’s Wine bar in Shelton. My waitress immediately tended to our every need. Her name was Chelsea and she took the time to explain to us how the items we were interested in were prepared. She gave us great recommendations and never rushed us to order. I love margaritas so my drink order was easy. My wife on the other hand likes sweet and unusual drinks. Chelsea recommended a drink with Italian ice in it and my wife was in Heaven! I can assure you that the food is delicious and definitely authentic Italian. The meatballs were phenomenal as was my veal cutlet and my wife’s pasta. Though they were extremely busy the manager, Mr. Ricky Rosario was out on the floor helping serve customers. If I even looked his wsy he came to our table to see if we needed anything. I honestly felt like royalty as they couldn’t do enough for us. I would definitely recommend this establishment as the good and service were outstanding. Ask for Chelsea as your waitress though they are all equally good.

My favorite restaurant of all time! You can never be disappointed. The carbonara is fantastic, as well as their Brussels sprouts. But everything is amazing!!!
