Center Street Social - Shelton

I can't reply directly to the owner, so I want to bring up one issue here. The menu explicitly states a mandatory 15% gratuity for bottomless mimosas, yet our bill included a 20% tip. We had to hunt down our server for refills, despite four employees standing around doing nothing. The service we received didn't deserve a gratuity, and the person we spoke with claimed to be the manager, but she was merely a table runner. The owner provided no real solutions, just empty reassurances. This place was terrible!

I couldn't even take a sip of my water before we were asked to leave. My friend and I, both 18 and 21 years old, were just trying to enjoy a nice brunch, especially since the pictures and reviews seemed so great. The restaurant even has a kids' menu listed on their website, yet we were told we couldn’t order food because neither of us were 21. I’m at a loss for words... We were seated at a regular table, not even at the bar. It was a crazy and disappointing experience.

What an incredible spot for Sunday brunch! They offer bottomless mimosas with the option to customize them in any flavor you'd like. I highly recommend the passion fruit variety! As for the food, I'm a big fan of eggs Benedict, and theirs was absolutely delicious! The home fries were perfectly crispy, too. Don't miss the chance to check this place out!

I visited with friends after hearing great things about the food! The mac and cheese was amazing—definitely some of the best I've tried in Shelton. The pretzel, tacos, fishbowl, and cocktails were all enjoyable as well. If you're looking for a fun atmosphere, this place is a winner, especially with karaoke on Tuesday nights and a lively brunch with DJs on Sundays. We did notice a hint of marijuana when we walked in, but the delicious food more than compensated for the ambiance. The staff was also very friendly.

I visited for brunch and tried the red velvet pancakes, which were incredible. The drinks were also enjoyable. It's a great spot to hang out with friends.
