Ram's Head Inn - SHELTER ISLAND

We didn't stay here to start with But we did bike here to have brunch delicious meal ! esp the Benedicts) and hang, and then the next day took a yoga class with a really kind, learned yoga instructor. The property is so gorgeous and the entire staff is very kind. Ram Island is such a stunning secret oasis I would love to stay here during our next trip!

There on Saturday, 5 November, 2022 to Brunch. We ordered Lobster Quiche, Cauliflower Artichoke Soup, Clam Chowder and RHI Burger. What followed: two days of heavy food poisoning to the point almost from weakness and dehydration. I called her back today to inform her about it. Your answer: Call the Suffolk County Health Department .

Great experience! Dinner was great. Staff was nice. Enjoyed the kayak and paddling boarding. Only thing I would say is that the room we had was very small for the expensive price we paid and the breakfast could of been a bigger selection than cereal and bread

Amazing experience the food, the ambiance, the location and more. Tucked away where you can watch the sunset while having dinner on the patio with live jazz music. Service was quick, food was delicious served in a good portion. Worth the money! They do need more bathroom stalls though.

We are very disappointed with our stay and would never go back. In addition to the amenities of the property, the service was rude and not helpful. We paid extra for a nice room for a special occasion. It was so small that we couldn't even wash our face in the tiny sink and the shower has no bar, even a soap bar. The shower door was broken so every time we used it water, covered the bathroom floor. The room was essentially the bed, without additional space. I am pregnant for 8 months and had to do some exercises. I asked for access to the wellness centre because there was no room in the room and was said no. Then we came to the breakfast that ended at 10 a.m. at 930 a.m., and there was no more coffee than we asked for more. Both nights at The Rams Head, our appetizers came before our drinks and in the second night we had to remember our server to bring them at all. If our stay had been a third of the price, we would probably have given four stars because that is the value of the service we have. But this place is just so overpriced. It was a real pain.
