Marimba's Mexican - Shelbyville

Not bad. The food is great. Nice place to eat and visit with family and friends. ekpesialy the outer deck.

Buena comida, buen ambiente, buen precio. Our dinner in Marimba was not planned the other night. We talked about another restaurant when we passed Marimba's and decided to try. The restaurant is good back from the highway to a small hill, shaded by trees and has a quite inviting appearance as you pass. You have a large dining room and a very large shaded deck area. We sat outside and were pleasantly surprised when the live music arrived and began to set up on the deck. We found service very slow to be (thirty minutes waiting for appetizers), but the whole staff was very friendly. We weren't in a hurry and drinks came much faster than eating, so it wasn't a problem. The food quality could best be described as above average Mexican. Prices seemed to be average for Mexican restaurants in the area. So overall, if you add a beautiful atmosphere, good food and reasonable prices, I think you will get a pretty good value at Marimba 's.

A family friend beat this place as the best Mexican restaurant in Shelbyville, KY. There are MANY to choose so that I take their proposal and do not need to look further. The first time is the charm with this. Man! I can't tell you how pleasantly surprised I was with Marimba. The food was so hot and fresh. Her flavors are fantastic. I made a combo with a chicken and a beef burrito and a beef tobacco that I eat every bit. Absolutely delicious; but! I was a little jealous of my wife's record of perfectly spiced Carnita chicks. We also visited their buffet, which they have on Friday and Sunday and loved to taste other flavors they have. Marimbas went to the Mexican restaurant right now. It's just fresh and fabulous.

Lots of very good quality food and very inexpensive. Service was amazing and the drinks were also excellent. Had enough to take home for 2 additional days. The outside was nice and our server was amazing. The salsa was good (get the hot) and just a great Friday evening. I will be back in October when I visit Shelbyville again!

Ok I don't know who opened this restaurant but who ever you are thank you. Some of the best Mexican food in Shelbyville. The quality and service has always been amazing.
