Northside New York Deli - Shelby

This was my first time dining here, and I was thoroughly impressed! I tried the French onion soup and shrimp in a basket, and they were both delicious. The hostess was great, and the service was super fast. The dishes were all dressed and prepared to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The French onion soup and Reubens at this restaurant are the best. The prices are very reasonable and the serving staff is generous in size.

Eating here is excellent. I recommend the Pastrami sandwich and Brooklyn fret. our waitress maranda was the best, she takes care of everything before they know that they needed it and makes the perfect French woofer.

The food was good, but the prices not so much. They charged me $4.79 for a side salad, which I wanted as a side item with my burger. Also, when they ran my card, the total on The paper was higher than the total on the bill I received at my table. The young Asian woman Who was a server and cashed me out, explained afterwards that the credit card machine adds a fee. When I complained about not being told about the fee before being charged, and the price of a salad, the young lady had nothing to say. But as I was leaving, she turned to the person next to her and exclaimed ‘Wow’ as if to say, can you believe that guy? Very poor customer service. It is to be expected of someone who is probably a teenager, but the restaurant may want to consider who they put in charge of cashing out their customers. And they may want to use more care, in the way that they speak to the people who frequent their restaurant. I’ve been to this restaurant at least eight times in the last year, and this was my first bad experience. I will be returning to the restaurant during the week, when I can have a discussion with the adult staff, who may be more interested in making sure their customers are happy.
