Il Fornaio Bakery - Shelby

This restaurant is small but amazing! The owner, who is also a talented baker, is very accommodating and makes the most delicious cakes. I highly recommend giving it a try, as I believe you will become a frequent customer like myself.

I drove 10 miles to try this restaurant because the internet said they were open until 2:00 on Sunday. I arrived at 1:09 and found that they were closed. It seems they can't keep their hours of operation updated online. Disappointing.

Ordering was difficult and the pastries and cookies were mediocre at best. Even after a second bite, the taste just wasn't that impressive. The atmosphere was cute, though.

This is a great bakery I love to stop at. I usually get my favorite blueberry muffins here and the excellent coffee. It's fun to check out their amazing cakes and baking projects they are always working on and putting on display. I really like the hosts here too, They are really friendly nice people.

Their cannolis are delicious and my husband loves them.... but they're never open at any time I could get to them. I've gone twice now when they were supposedly open and they weren't. The hours online and on their website are very incorrect so hopefully they can fix that, it's frustrating.
