Sahara Mediterranean Grill

The food here is good, but the service is enough to not want to come here to dine in. Several times we have gone there to dine, and each time the service has been beyond horrible; something is always wrong with our order, they’re very unfriendly/seem disinterested, and they are not willing to modify any of their food (which normally would be easy and not a problem anywhere else). There’s lots of other Mediterranean places around the area, I’d recommend finding another spot or ordering take-out if it is an easy dish that one could not mess up. I won’t be surprised if they go out of business at one point or another.

Garlic spread was awesome, my wife doesn't like middle eastern food, but she loved this place, we will be back.

Another trip to sahara, another great experience. definately the most consistent mediterrranian food in the detroit area.

My return trip to Sahara was quite different than my first. While my first trip was met with wonderful food and lackluster service, my return trip was met with wonderful food and excellent service! Dinner for me this time was the Tawook Lemon Oregano, and it was prepared exactly how I remember it. My only complaint was that I couldn't stop eating the sauce and would have drank it if they had given me a cup! The bread and hummus were a great way to start the meal. Our drinks never got empty and our food was delivered promptly. In my opinion this is the best Mediterranean spot in the Metro Detroit area. Highly recommended!

I had been wanting to try the new location of Sahara Grill since it had opened, with the closing of La Shish in the Detroit Metro area there was a vast void to be filled by a good Mediterranean restaurant. The meal began with bread and garlic paste, the garlic paste was quite good and very strong. The bread was delicious and very puffy. For dinner, I had the Chicken and Lamb Shwarma plate with Curry. Excellent food, everything was exactly prepared how I expected it and I could not have been happier with my decision. The one thing that was lacking on this trip was decent service. The place was not crowded and despite that fact, we had to wait nearly 45 minutes for our food, all while our waitress visited our table once.
