Padova Bakery & Deli - Shelburne

Upon entering the restaurant, you are greeted with a cozy Italian ambiance, reminiscent of a small shop in Italy. The menu offers a variety of items, including pastas, fresh breads, a deli counter, dessert counter, and a takeout counter. Unfortunately, the positive experience ends here. The staff is not very attentive and appears inconvenienced when taking orders at the takeout counter. There is a lack of posted menus with pricing, making it difficult to decide on a meal. The food is pre-prepped and kept warm in catering trays, resulting in lukewarm and bland dishes reminiscent of a mediocre buffet. The sandwiches have more bread than filling, with hard buns that do not live up to the bakery's reputation. Additionally, some desserts are claimed to be homemade, but are actually La Rocca brand cupcakes available at most grocery stores. Overall, this restaurant may appeal to those unfamiliar with authentic Italian cuisine, but falls short for those seeking a superior dining experience.

Glad that they are opening up some different shops and foodie places in town, we need it! The smell of this place when you open the door is amazing, home made fresh breads and buns are made daily, get there early in the day for best selection. Deli sandwiches are very yummy. This is a welcome addition to the small town of Shelburne. Friendly staff and good food!

I am a picky guy who never reviews restaurants online...but my wife brought home a tray of lasagna from Padova Bakery and it was probably the best meaty lasagna that I have ever had. Please don't tell nonna!

I would have like to have had a chance to try the food but the service was so bad that I left. No hello. No nothing. I tried to make eye contact with to different people working there and no such luck. After that I just walked out.

When it first opened it was very good, however the longer they are opened the worse the food it getting all in an effort to save money it seems. Most people in the burne who have gone there at one time do not return.
