Bidrage med feedbackI 'm greedy. I say this now so that you 'll understand my small disappointment at today 's meal. We popped in to the Prince Of Wales for a Sunday lunch as we 've eaten there on quite a few occasions and always had a really nice time. We were seated immediately and checked out the menu, paying particular attention to the 'roast ' section. I was a little indecisive so it was great to see an option to have a 'trio ' of meats with extra trimmings. It cost 2 quid more than a normal roast, but unfortunately was much smaller, meaning I had to finish off my Mother-in-law 's roast beef! I told you, I 'm greedy. I did however have a delicious chocolate brownie with caramel ice cream for dessert, so I rolled out of there content. I 'd go back again for sure, but I 'd probably order something else.
If I were to rate the service on how horrendous it was, it would certainly score a solid 5/5. Approximately 7:28 pm on November the 28th, my 19 year old brother was refused a single pint of larger. Despite stating the law, which implies anyone at the age of 16 or 17 can enjoy an alcoholic beverage with their meal. Nether the less, we were consequently found bombarded with the statement it 's company policy over and over again. This being a 19 (soon to be 20 in January) male in his second year at university, even on his wild nights on the toon, getting asked to present identification is incredibly rare. The food was enjoyable however, but the service has somewhat put me off the possibility of returning.
Great pub also restaurant combined.not small.nice terrace outside. ample car park. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. opens until 12.30am at weekends although i vaguely remember leaving there after 1.15am the other week. ha ha. also opens throughout the day, have had business meetings in there with food etc..was nice. Its not the 'typical ' type of pub,and its in the better part of the city on the south western edge of sheffield on ecclesall road south which makes it a good starting point if you want 't to make your way down ecclesall road for a night out, it 's a very easy downhill walk if your not driving. taxis are outside every other minute if you need a quick change of venue. there 's a bustop 75 yards away.
