Awesome place. Every time I come to KC, I have to go to Haywards for my BBQ fix.

We ordered takeout after years of wanting to try this place. Ordering online was easy and we were quoted about 30mins on a Friday so that is about as expected. The menu had a variety of options. When I walked through the doors nobody greeted me, but that's not a huge deal. The wait to get the food was only a couple of minutes. The drive home was about 6 minutes. I got their burnt ends and mac and cheese. Really really good, fall-apart-in-your-mouth meat, but smothered in sauce, so if you like your sauce a bit lighter, order it on the side.

As a former resident of Kansas City, you know, the first thing I wanted to try on a visit back to the area was some Kansas City BBQ. The last we had was pre-pandemic, and the memory of it had stuck with us all.
