Bidrage med feedbackThe food at this restaurant was top-notch, but the service fell short. Our sushi rolls arrived before our gyoza, which we had ordered with our drinks. It took 15 minutes to finally catch the waitresses attention and ask for the check. However, due to the timing error, she did not charge us for the gyoza, which was a relief.
We have dined at this restaurant often in recent years. However, this time was a disappointment. The sushi was oily and the sparkling sake was warm. The service was practically non-existent. We had to eat our appetizers without plates and only saw our server when our food was brought to us. We will not be returning.
Just like others have mentioned, the restaurant was completely empty and appeared to be quite dirty. The sushi was not fresh and did not taste good at all; my husband and I couldn't even finish our rolls. We were disappointed with our experience and have no plans to return. The service was decent, but considering we were the only customers in the restaurant, it was nothing exceptional.
Honestly just save your time and money! The sushi wasn’t good and the restaurant was very dirty and all of the staff including the manager were too busy standing around talking to do anything else!!!!
We eat at Soto every time we are in Shawnee. The food and service are consistently excellent. In fact, I find the food is comparable to any sushi place I've been to in bigger cities for about half the cost. Recent faves: the shipwreck sashimi appetizer and the Rumble Roll. I also like that it's a quiet respite from the noise and bustle of the casino.
