Captain Benders Tavern - Sharpsburg

Fantastic dipping options with an exceptional dining experience! It's a bar with a vibrant bar atmosphere, yet the food quality is outstanding and the drinks consistently impress.

I had brunch today, Sunday, from 10 AM to 2 PM. The menu offered excellent options, ranging from biscuits and gravy to sandwiches with chips, as well as fresh fruit.

The fried fish was good, but there was a bit too much breading for my taste to consider it great. The French fries appeared to be freshly cut. My wife ordered the special potato soup, which we think was very good.

I had a fantastic experience at Captain Benders during a conference in Antietam, where it came highly recommended. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. I ordered the crab cake chicken sandwich, while my friend opted for the pork and French onion soup. Everything was top-notch. The owner was not only friendly but also very capable, making rounds to ensure all the diners were satisfied. I will definitely be returning!

Great local pub. Eating is a little expensive, but I haven't had a bad meal yet. Wide range of craft beers from anywhere. Service is also great
