I was presented with two large drumsticks and a sizeable side of seasoned fries. The chicken skin was perfectly seasoned and crunchy and served a pracitical purpose; to seal in the juices so that they may burst forth when your teeth pierce through the flakey shell to reach the tender, white, and succulent meat below. I inquired with the chef, Elibel, how he managed to pack so much flavor into the deliquacy that reminded me so much of home. His response, summarized, was "low sodium, lemon juice, time, patience, and love. "I have since partaken of their very filling philly cheese steak, and their top of the line 1/3 pound burger, and I have yet to be disappointed. And whilst I am no fan of fried okra regualrly, Elibel 's mastery over flavor balance and his passion for creating hearty and delicious food has produced a version that at this very moment I can 't help but chow down on ravenously.If you ever need a meal on a Tuesday-Sunday (and let 's face it, everyone eats), waltz into the humble Exxon on Jefferson and Blanding, grab a genuine Jamaican Soft Drink (the one with the cat in swim trunks), and place an order with Elibel 's sweet wife at the counter. Then carry that receipt over to the small food truck in the corner of the lot. Then proceed to kick back and relax, enjoy a chat with your friends, family, or the strangers that wonder on by, and when the train to Flavor Town pulls into the the station in an unassuming styrofoam container, brace yourself for the ride of a lifetime.

I mean the shrimp bowl is sooooo good... I usually take pictures of my food and it didn't stand a chance. I grabbed the picture from Grubhub being that it was exactly the same. Another thing was.... Well, You know when you order food and when they deliver it and you wait and get it and it's cold? Well I think not.... I had to blow my food and that's rare. It was right off the skillet... and delicious... anyways try it or don't.... But if you don't you'll be missing out

Nothing short of amazing!!! Can’t wait to go back for the crab boil and fish ?. You can taste the love in this food!
