The Old Stand - Shanagolden

Lovely food. Very friendly staff. Only fault I would have is that food portions very small especially when you order a stirfry.

I very rarely give a restaurant five stars, as there’s nearly always a reason not to. But not in the case of The Old Stand. The food was some of the best I’ve eaten. It’s definitely the best restaurant in Limerick county or city for the price. The staff were friendly and very attentive. The ambience in the Old Stand is lovely. The decor is very classy. There’s a very positive vibe about the place. This punter will definitely be back.

Held a family birthday/wedding anniversary. From meeting Helena and Mary to organise the occasion they took the reigns and organised everything perfectly. From Food to music and everything in between. Paid very close attention too the small details. Food and staff on the night were incredible. 100% would recommend for any special occasion.

First time having lunch in the Old Stand, it wont be the last. The level of service and friendliness from the staff was exceptional. It was clear to see that they thrive on hygiene standard. The food was gorgeous in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Couldn't fault the staff so nice and friendly and very attentive. Very clean but unfortunately the food today was very poor. Me and another family member for the Vol au vants, they were tasteless and got very little chicken and ham in them. The chips were bearly cooked and the mash was rock hard. So dissapointed and didn't have the heart the say it when they asked was everything ok? Because it actually wasn't but the staff were lovely. Have been to the old stand many times and never had a bad meal but today was very disappointing. Don't know would I return again.
