El Torito - Shamokin Dam

The service was fantastic. Our waitress was incredibly nice, patient, and accommodating to our large group of 15. The food was tasty and fresh, although it wasn't extraordinary. However, the restroom lacked soap and wasn't the cleanest. The prices were quite reasonable—with the fajita burrito priced at just $10.99. Overall, we had a pleasant dine-in lunch experience.

El Torito Mexican Restaurant is a hidden treasure that is definitely worth seeking out. Although the ambiance might seem a bit intimidating at first, the food more than compensates for it. The Texas fajitas are absolutely fantastic, and the Steak and Chicken Fajitas are equally flavorful. What really distinguishes this place is their homemade items: the salsa, guacamole, and chips are exceptional, providing a truly authentic and delicious Mexican dining experience. Overall, I would rate El Torito a solid 5 out of 5. Parking: Ample parking available. Kid-friendliness: Very family-friendly.
