Texas Roadhouse - Shakopee

We had a rough start to our reservation when we went. We waited awhile only to find out we were seated with no server assigned. The server we stopped said I'm not sure who it is but I'll get your drinks and than look into it. Some servers might be annoyed but he was fabulous. He took our order with enthusiasm and made reccomendations as well. He ended up just saying he would take our table and we had a large party, but he was amazing. Hunter deserves recognition for turning something that could have been bad into an amazing experience.

They are good when there good and bad when there bad. When we dine in the business is solid. The issue usually comes to take out orders. Steak temps are wrong 50% of the time and missing side items and dressings all the time. Arrived at the Texas Roadhouse in Apple Valley at 1:50 PM to pick up a meal voucher for veterans. Spoke to a manager who told me they had run out of them at 1:30. Mentioned to him that I lived closer to Shakopee but was in Apple Valley running errands. The manager texted a manager at the TR in Shakopee to see if they had any vouchers left and received a text back that they had a ton of them . The Apple Valley manager took a pic of my DL and sent it to the manager at Shakopee. I thanked him and told him I 'd stop by the TR in Shakopee in a few hours. Arrived at the TR in Shakopee at 4:30 pm. Spoke to a guy at the To Go counter and explained the situation. He said they were out of vouchers. He told me he would find a manager and ask. Came back and told me the manager said they were out of vouchers. I 'm not sure how they went from having a ton of vouchers to being out of vouchers in the 10 minutes before the promotion end time at 2:00 pm, but okay. The Texas Roadhouse meal voucher is one of the more generous freebies that veterans receive on Veterans Day. I hope next year the execution will be better to enable all veterans to receive one. Excellent meals and outstanding service!!! A Tremendous meal served with a smile. We ordered one NY Strip and two prime rib dinners. All meats grilled to perfection and presentation was fantastic. What’s not to like when you get high quality meats@ a fraction of the cost? Honestly the quality of the NY strip is comparable to RC’s. The prime rib was Perfect!!! The cuts were Amazing and is comparable to Kincaid’s and Palisade. Meals came out accordingly and we were able to dine and enjoy conversation within 1.5 hours. That’s Tremendous timing for a great dinner. Total bill was $98 before tip. Thank You.
