Thai Tae - Sens

What an unexpected surprise. In this small restaurant in the town of Sens, the husband wife wonder team are cooking up possibly the best Thai food we 've ever tasted! After 20 years in London and 15 in Paris, numerous (and lengthy trips to Thailand, we were totally taken aback by the quality of the food served here. The chef, an authentic Thai cook explained to us how she started cooking at home with her family from a very young age, her husband, a warm and communicative Frenchman assures the service in what feels like their dining room! The few tables means that the customer is pampered, their tastes considered! I was flabegasted, as a vegetarian, to be treated with such attention and respect. The wonderful chef goes out of her way to accommodate the individual, and is happy to add or omit ingredients as needed (best call ahead if you have a special dietary requirement so that she has the time to prepare accordingly Being in burgundy, the wine was of top quality (we are not amateurs in the matter and extremely reasonably priced (bottle under 20€! The ambiance is intimate, the menu surprising, fresh and innovative and the welcome is sur mesure . If you enjoy Thai food this restaurant is a MUST, even the drive from Paris would be worth it! I wouldn 't be surprised if this restaurant received a Michelin star, so reserve quickly while it 's still affordable!

The complete meal, all 3 courses, was brilliant. All ingredients were fresh, locally sourced and top quality. Our food was excellently prepared and served. Setting was good overlooking the river. We ate outside and had no problems with insects. We will be back at our next opportunity.

We love Thai food and I cook it quite often. We stopped here for lunch. It is a small place with about 14 seats total. There were 3 other people sitting at one table. While the food was truly excellent, the timing was a problem. We watched the other table and each dish was made one at a time and served. So the first person got their dish and finished it by the time the next person's dish came out. And so on. We decided to share our dishes, but it was still a long process. Our lunch was over two hours (appetizer and main, no dessert or coffee). The owners are really sweet people, but they were a little too intrusive explaining Thai ingredients while we were eating. Prices were very reasonable. We do wish them well.

From the moment you walk in it has a great fell. very few tables. The Waiter was one of the owners, the other was the Chef. Food was great but do not ask for it too hot, it will be very hot as standard. Good wine selection and beautiful views

Des saveurs qui rappellent vraiment la Thaïlande, des produits de qualité, le tout pour un prix quand même un peu élevé. Présence un peu envahissante du serveur, également patron et mari de la cuisinière pour un repas en couple.
