Bidrage med feedbackWe really appreciated being able to get some very tasty vegan food including fresh hummus, falafels, pita bread and tabouli, but we did find the prices a bit steep compared to what we would pay for such food at home. But food is well done and luckily later opening hours than other restaurant options. Smoking allowed inside, but lucky we were too bothered as it wasn't busy. I had a great time here by myself for dinner and shisha. Many vegan options to choose from with clearly labeled menu. I ordered the hummus with mushroom that comes with pita bread along with fried cauliflower and falafel on the side. Everything was delicious. The falafel stood out to me the most. I’ve found the perfect falafel; Warm and crispy on the outside, soft and flaky on the inside with just enough tahini sauce to give that satisfying bite!
I stopped in Sendai for a couple of days and decided to head to Millis for lunch in hopes of indulging in some amazing Mediterranean food, and boy, did it not disappoint! The falafels were AMAZING! I had their falafel plate as well as a vegan banana coconut smoothie. It was very filling and overall delicious! Highly recommend! Updated from previous review on 2023-05-05
Owner was so welcoming and an expert chef. Food was amazing! Glad someone here said to have the smoothie, it was fabulous! Convenient location in lively area. I went for dinner and partook in some shisha, be warned if that’s not your thing you might want to avoid as you might be exposed to second hand smoke.
Millis was recommended by my friend here in Sendai as a spot that would have plant-based options during my visit. I was excited to come and try them since I've been eating so much soy meat karaage the entire time I was in Japan! This Israeli/Mediterranean spot really hit the spot and filled that hole my plant-based heart had been longing. They serve meat and offer vegan friendly options that are clearly marked on the menu, making it really easy to order. My one standout: their spectacular falafels! We shared their Falafel Pita Sandwich ¥880) and their Falafel Plate ¥1690), which came with four different kinds of salads, pita, and sauce. Essentially it was the same thing but constructed differently depending on your style. The falafels were crispy but not overly heavy, making them the perfect meal. Service was great and it was only when they got busy that our large group decided to head out. We never felt rushed and I appreciated that. Despite Sendai not having a whole lot of vegan restaurants, it's great to see that this spot has some hearty options labeled for vegetarians and vegans. Thanks Millis for the great meal.
