Roxi's Uptown Cafe - Selkirk

My family and I took a detour and ended up in Selkirk. The coffee was good and the food was even better. When I told my waitress that I'm gluten free because I'm Celiac, she brought out their gluten aware menu and let the kitchen know. They don't have a separate deep fryer, but they did serve me shredded hash browns. Yum! The waitress told me they prepared my meal in a separate area. Excellent all around.

The menu is filled with many options to satisfy everyone's differing tastes. Serving sizes are plentiful and wait staff is friendly. Enjoyed the salad (with cranberries, nuts and house dressing) so much, we placed a "to go" order by phone 2 days later. We arrived in 20 minutes (the time they stated it would be ready). Unfortunately, we waited a hour after that because it appears they "lost" the order. The manager was super friendly, apologized and gave gift card. This restaurant is super busy! If you don't have room for dessert, take dessert home!!!

The servings are large, the food is fresh and tasty, the place is newly decorated and the staff are all very pleasant and even though we had a line up it was very quick till seated

My husband and I have tried a number of items on the menu over the past few years and we have not found anything that we didn't like. Very tasty and large portions. We have always been too full to have dessert but they look so amazing that we always bring one home for later, and they are to die for!

There is a reason why this place is always busy, great food and great sevice. I have never been disappointed by eating there.
