Wolsey Fisheries - Selby

This has been our favourite local fish and chip shop for many many years, and the quality and service remains excellent. However on our last visit we were really disappointed to learn that the beautiful “special” fish is no longer an option. Reluctantly we may have to consider other places in the future. What a shame! Hence 3 stars instead of the usual 5

Staff professional, high standards of food and hygiene. Such a welcoming chip shop. Reasonable prices too. The chips and cheese is to die for. Can’t wait to visit again!!

We have two very good chippies in the village and several in adjacent villages. Wolsey serve up consistently well cooked fish and chips at a fair price.

Awful chips. Not cooked, hard, dry and pale. Surely anyone can cook chips. They need to be brown not white.

Called in on 27/8/21 for a little bit of dinner and the way I was spoke to by the woman in there was appalling, fair enough we all have our bad days granted but when your working in that type of environment you need to be at least a little bit polite to your customers
