El Taco Tejano In Segu - Seguin

I have bought these tacos for years.Recently, they changed the portions.The tacos are now half the size and the wait is much longer. The tortillas look store bought non longer fresh. I dont like the changes im going elsewhere.

My little sisters and I came across this gem the other day. We were traveling to D&D and needed some breakfast tacos. Highly recommend the following combinations: bacon, egg, cheese and the chorizo, egg, and cheese! Chips and salsa were AMAZING too. Their coffee is SOOOO GOOD! All items were reasonably priced too. Only thing better than the food was the wonderful service. Taco Tejano is a great spot and I’m so glad we had the opportunity to stop by! Go try it for yourself!

I always come here when visiting family but after today I don't think I will be returning. It's been a year since I came here but everything was just blan. Potatoes no seasoning the barbacoa taste like the heat and serve ones you get at the gas station and the pancakes were just sad and tiny. They used to be twice the size and way better tasting. What really got me was the price. We always get the same thing everytime we come, EVERYTIME. Our breakfast would always be around $45-$55 but oh no today when I took the ticket to pay, oddly the cashier had another ticket to ring our meal up and came out to $95. We were in a rush to leave so I didn't realize the total till I got to the gas station and got a notification of the charge to my card and saw that outrageous price. Yeah not coming here any more and advised my family there to stop going as well.

*update 6/24* While the renovated location holds more people, is much more beautiful and no longer looks like a old dive joint (I loved the old place too tho) the food has changed a bit. The tortillas started being dry and tougher for a while (not today tho) and the tacos got smaller. I understand the restaurant buisness is a tough one, especially in a town with a million taco joints. I'd rather pay more to continue the tacos I'm accustomed to to keep the size bigger than keep the same price and get less. The crazy tacos used to be freaking huge, now they're barely bigger than the lil bean cheese tacos. Lunch options have always, been fantastic, although, I've not had them in quite a while. The enchiladas were always great, amazingly, their burger and fries was AWESOME too.!!! VERY friendly counter staff is always a pleasure to speak to, always some nice light conversations. Still pretty dadgum good food, prolly an 8 out of 10 now, instead of the old days when it was a 10 out of 10 for me and mi familia. We'll be back for sure.

Does not serve al pastor. Chicharones was undercooked. Barbacoa tasted flavorless. Piccadillo unseasoned. Food:value was no bueno. Do not recommend.
