Bella Vita - Sedona

We made a reservation in Sedona since it was New Year's Eve and we didn't want to end up without a place to eat. Bella Vita turned out to be a delightful surprise. We chose to sit at the bar because it seemed more fun, plus there were many families with young children in the dining area (we arrived early at 5:30 PM). The menu was somewhat limited due to the holiday, so I couldn't order exactly what I had in mind. However, I had the chicken parmesan, while my partner opted for the rigatoni with shrimp and chicken. The focaccia bread was fabulous—definitely my favorite! We saved some room for dessert and enjoyed the New York cheesecake, which was very tasty. When we return to Sedona, we will definitely come back! Our bartender, Shane, was incredible; he was constantly on the move, making drinks for the entire restaurant. We had a wonderful time!

The pastas we ordered were overcooked and too soft; they should have been al dente. As for the calamari appetizer with zucchini, it was too small to eat with a fork.

We had a wonderful Italian farewell at a charming old Italian restaurant. The pasta was fresh and delicious, and the veal dishes were quite good. The menu offered a wide variety of options, and it seemed like all the diners were pleased with their choices. Our server was lively and fun, and she also suggested some excellent hiking spots for our trip to Sedona.

I ordered the lasagna and it was amongst the best I’ve ever had. The service was exceptional as was the overall experience. I highly recommend.

Our service was outstanding. The food and cocktails were below par. We chose a specialty mojito. We were told it was on the happy hour menu. It was a horrid cocktail… but I figured this is what they do at $6. I did not tell our lovely waiter. Our salad was ok and other food… the same. I never complained. When the bill arrived… I was floored! Our bowling alley cocktails were $14 a piece. I couldn’t even drink mine! I never leave bad reviews… but we drove from uptown Sedona on reviews… nope… don’t go unless you are staying there.. and still… way overpriced!
