Daphne Restaurant - Sechelt

Came in for dinner on a Thursday night. Place was pretty busy but not full so we got seated right away. The girl at the door told us that it had been a busy night and it might be a few extra minutes for the wait on food. We had no problem with that. We sat down and watched the ambience of everyone enjoying there time and meals and were excited to try this expansive menu. Drink menu looked really well prepared so we had a few cocktails and they were so so good. Mules all the way! There were a few things on the menu we hadn't heard of before so we decided to just pick some fun things. Octopus and Greek salad to start (I heard the feta cheese was really good) Moroccan tasting platter and Lamb Tagine. Well the octopus was beautiful. It was presented so well. The texture was soft and just a light chew. So good. Greek salad fresh crisp and the feta didn't let me down. The Moroccan tasting platter was presented in such a way that we were surprised as so many different things kept coming out. The meat was on a stick and hanging over french fries. Really neat! The moussaka was flavourful and the falafels were soft and very interesting with so much flavour with all the items on the plate. Great job! so happy all around terrific experience. Very pleasant wait staff and can't wait to come back.

Management changed 7 months ago and the food is now much better. Wonderful chicken kabab. Perfectly cooked chicken and veggies. Excellent service. We will be back!

Food was well prepared and presented. Everything tasted very good with spices and flavours captured in our dishes. Service was very good.

Loved daphnes and was excited about their renovations to the restaurant. Places looked nice but the service was very poor. Was semi busy but had to wait well over an hour to get our food. Servers rarely checked on us. Food was decent but will not be going back, customers who arrived at the same time as us received their food and ate before we received our food.

We had dinner - 6 people on a Sunday evening. We were greeted at the door and shown to our reserved table. The server came after about 5 minutes and asked it we wanted drinks and one couple added an appetizer to the request. No one else was asked if they wanted to add an appy. Drinks took about 15 minutes and we had to ask for water. One of the party got up after about another 20 minutes to ask if we could have a water refill - and to order appetizers as well. When the appys came we then had to hunt down the server for side plates. There is no friendliness or joy - just get the order and disappear. The food is really very good it's just too bad that the service is so poor.
