Bidrage med feedbackOne phrase, and not too often used for creative Japanese fusion food value for money! Recommended by a regular, this place had plenty of inventive dishes with Japanese themes and delightful presentations. After trying 8 odd dishes between two of us, we averaged $60 per person and left a happy camper. Back soon!
Finally got to try the famous Kokkaku. Wine list was not good : . Seems my friend enjoyed his drink. The two main dishes we ordered, the beef pasta and the duck risotto were super good. The flavor was prevalent but not overly sauced or salty, just perfect. The wagyu entre that’s seared was super flavorful as well. Table space wasn’t much but aside from that it was a good experience
Craving some steak while strolling through Wallingford? Don 't worry, I got you. Let me take you on a flavor journey to Kokkaku, the Japanese steakhouse over in the Wallingford area of good o 'le Seattle. Get ready, because this is a tale of steak done right, with a side of veggies that might have taken a little nap.Okay, let 's dive into the star of the show: the steak. Friends, they 've got this steak game down to a science. The sizzle, the seasoning, the succulence—it all comes together for a mouthwatering experience. The kind of experience that makes you give a satisfied nod between bites. Now, the veggies. Oh, bless their hearts, they showed up, but they seemed a bit shy in the flavor department. Dry and bland? Yeah, that about sums it up. It 's like they got lost on their way to the seasoning party. But hey, let 's cut them some slack; not everyone can be the life of the culinary party. Our server was a real gem, the kind who knows their stuff but doesn 't make you feel like you 're at a fancy food seminar. They had that perfect mix of professionalism and friendliness, which made the whole dining experience feel, well, just right. So, here 's the deal: Kokkaku knows their way around a steak, and that 's no small feat. The flavor explosion from those steak bites lingered on my taste buds like a good memory. The veggies might need a pep talk, but overall, it 's a satisfying dining destination. When you 're up for a steak adventure and some veggies along for the ride, Kokkaku is a solid choice. Just remember, it 's all about balance in life, and sometimes that means enjoying a juicy steak with a side of working on their flavor game veggies. Keep on grilling, Kokkaku!

You can't pick out the type of oysters here. I came here for happy hour and glad I did. I wouldn't pay full price for what I got. we made reservations but they probably weren't needed. The whole time there was only 4 other tables. The meat on the baguettes was tender. Since it was cooked with caramelized onions , it had a sweet flavor to it.The wagyu 4 way is not bad. It is raw Japanese A5 wagyu . I think it prefer it cooked. It was still tender. The oysters are ok. The flavor was too salty and at times can overpower the oyster. There are two gender neutral restrooms.
