Bidrage med feedbackNice surprise. I left Cannon Beach for Portland without breakfast. That was a nice find at 10 o'clock. A lot of diner scrub in the best old school tradition. I've got the beef chop with chopped eggs. The hash certainly not sprinkled on the beef and the eggs were perfectly softly posing, just as I had asked. A few nice fresh cookies instead of toast and a cup of Joe and I were on the way. All right, just $10. This is a good place to stop when you are on Hwy 26.
Average Diner Food. On our way back to Portland, we stopped at this diner, which felt very much like a classic diner, though I'm not sure if they fully embraced that identity. My ham and cheese omelet was decent, but the hashbrowns could have used a bit more crispiness. The sourdough toast was a bit tough after I tore a piece off. My wife was not impressed with her eggs and pancakes. It's not that the food was bad—it was just rather uninspired, which is often the case with diner fare. What bothered me was the pricing, which felt more aligned with beachside dining than what you’d expect for average food. If you're running a diner, your prices should reflect that. As for the service, it was acceptable, especially considering there were only two tables occupied. Grade: C (average food, high prices).
Very good food. Every time we pass, we have to stop. You have the best Elderberry syrup ever. Great food. Everyone has to go and eat at least once.
We drove to the coast and were on the lookout for a breakfast spot. I probably wouldn't have chosen this place on my own, but my husband had been here in the early 80s. When we arrived, it wasn't too busy, but by the time we left, more customers had come in. Our waitress was friendly, quick, and efficient. We placed our orders for drinks and meals right away. I went with the Eggs Benedict, my husband chose the Biscuits and Gravy, and my teenage daughter smartly opted for a pancake—though it turned out to be huge! I particularly enjoyed the Eggs Benedict, which featured a thick slice of ham and a perfectly crispy English muffin. The side of bacon, however, was disappointing. My husband’s dish truly stole the show; the Gravy had an incredible flavor, and the biscuit was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you're heading down Hwy 26 Westbound. We liked it even more than Camp 18, which we’ve visited quite a bit. Give it a try!
This is a wonderful family restaurant that also features a full bar. The portion sizes are generous, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Their hash browns are never frozen and taste excellent. There’s a hotel with several rooms located at the back. Overall, this charming spot truly embodies a sense of country hospitality.
