The server Ryan who helped me was extremely helpful and so nice.
Ok so the empanadas were ok. I’m Puerto Rican and get empanadas from different places why cheaper and better tasting. I understand that it’s the boardwalk at Seaside Heights so $6.50 for an empanada is reasonable in that area, that price won’t fly though at a regular Hispanic restaurant lol. The taste was decent, I’ve had better but it did kill my urges for empanadas! Why the low stars? It wasn’t the quality of the food, as I mentioned, it was pretty good. But the service was horrible. The one guy was eating his empanada with his kitchen gloves then eating over the trays where they put the freshly fried empanadas. Crumbs all over the trays from him eating over them. Then used the same gloves on to handle the register and cash. When we saw that we said something. He then washed his hands and changed his gloves. But when they fried the empanadas, they put them in the trays where he was eating over with his crumbs. So we said something to the guy and he made us new ones.
Amazing family owned and run empanada kiosk! The kiosk is super cute with original artwork from the owners. The bean and potato empanada is really delicious as well as the chocolate churros, both of which are vegan. There are also two GF options available. It’s really nice to have great vegan options here! Definitely would recommend coming while in Seaside!
This is our summer spot since they opened 3 years ago! Delicious empanadas with GF and vegan options. Tostones is nice and crispy and the maduros are sweet. Never disappointed.
