Rod's Olde Irish Tavern - SEA GIRT

Didn't have a great experience a year ago but went again tonight. Ordered mussels and half were not opened. Let the manager? know and he got us a new order and comped us drinks. Our entrees (pasta and an entree salad) were delicious. Having a floor manager that gives a s made all the difference. We will be back and happy to see this place well managed.

Both my wife and I chose the crab cake sandwich special for $22. I took a moment to glance around at what others were ordering, and everything looked beautifully presented and appetizing. I ordered a bourbon old fashioned while my wife opted for one of the drink specials. Everything we tried was delicious and well-prepared, and I was pleasantly surprised by the generous size of the crab cake. We skipped dessert this time, and our total bill before tip came to $75. While I would say it's slightly on the pricier side, we definitely plan to return!

Fantastic food! I'm delighted to see a refreshing change in this restaurant! I've been a customer for nearly 20 years, and it has never been better.

Great food, great service. Our server was awesome! Only complaint tables inside are very dark. Will be returning.

We heard that Rods had done some well needed renovations, so we decided to give them a try. Our appetizers were great. The young server did a spectacular job. The four of us each had an awesome dinner. We are looking forward to coming back.
