Angry Crab Shack - Scottsdale

Amazingly surprised! Really good Cajun food in the desert. Gumbonwas Amazing. Our server Emma was top notch.

My first experiance and for me personnally it was a good one. The rest of my party of 4 had mixed oppinions. My Meal, Twin Lobster Rolls and Calamari App was delicious. Both were generous portions and very fresh. I asked for a side of garlic butter and although it was tasty I dont think it was actually butter, but some sort of Oil mixture but still, nice and garlicy and went well with the lobster rolls. 1 friend had the Fish and Chips and wasnt happy. To be frank they didnt look all that great either and he complained that the seasoned fries serven with then were unevenly seasoned to the point of none on some frys to way overly seasoned on others. The last 2 friends had meals containing shrimp and at one point the one commented that the taste was great but he kept finding shells on the shrimp. The 4th friend, (this is were things went really bad), had the gumbo. He was very happy with the meal, said it was fantastic until litterally the very last bite when a shell in the gumbo got stuck in his throat. It turned into a whole sceen with him choking, me trying to apply the heimlich manuever on him and luckily another cutomer with medical experiance took over and got him to expel the shell. He's fine today and thankful for her assistance. The manager was very gracious, compted his meal, really should have compted the entire table along with the table of the women who helpled my friend but all in all a happy ending. The idea that 2 of the meals contained shells is a bit off setting but Ill deff be back for more of the Lobster Rolls.Parking: The restaurant is a free standing building in a shopping plaza so tons of parking

Food was good, but very overpriced and limited choices. Won't go back.

The staff seemed happy which is always good to see! Almost not fair for me to give them 4 stars not 5 since my only issue is that they have very little vegetarian option and those they do have are bland. But they are a seafood restaurant so....
