The Tipsy Ghillie - Scottish Borders

Nice eating and personal. we visited each morning for breakfast and a fabulous evening meal. I would be very happy.

On Sunday evening, we were the first customers at around 8:00 PM, although a few others had already arrived. There was plenty of space to choose a table. The three TVs showing football were an added bonus to the bar atmosphere. We ordered a Strawberry Daiquiri (not made with crushed ice), a gin and tonic, and a Peroni beer, which came to a total of £16.40.

We had a fantastic lunch and the young man who served us provided excellent customer service.

I can't fault Go! It's a rare find - excellent food, great friendly and attentive service without being intrusive. It's good value for money and I cleaned my plate. The chef really knows how to cook vegetables properly - they're crunchy without being wet. And the steak pie is heavenly.

Lovely food and great prices the desserts are fantastic they were so good we ate them before we got photos. Staff are nice and friendly too. Would definitely recommend a visit if you're ever in Kelso.
