Horse And Hound - Scottish Borders

A very welcoming atmosphere, heat staff who were very dog friendly. Food was good and would recommend the restaurant and beer!

We are a family of four and travel a lot and this was definitely the worst dinner we ever had and the the restaurant is completely family unfriendly !!

Stumbled upon this fine hostelry after a visit to beamish the wee woman and i had the fish and chips and the kids had the smaller portions everything was delicious and very reasonable cant wait to take the mother in law

We had 2 nights fairly close to Bonchester Bridge and glad we chose the Horse and Hound to eat at. The pub is beautifully presented and very welcoming. Over the two nights we tried the starters, mains and desserts. They could not be faulted. Also had coffee which came with shortbread which was to die for. The staff were very attentive and very pleasant and welcoming. It is many years since we have visited but hope we won't leave as long to return.

Another great stay: friendly staff, great service and very welcoming of our dog thank you! Looking forward to returning again.
