We spent one night at this charming local pub/restaurant and were impressed by the amazing hospitality. The landlord, Andrew, and his family went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The food and drinks were delicious, and the rooms were cozy with very comfortable beds. The restaurant is exceptionally friendly and the rooms, although slightly worn, are very clean and spacious. I stayed here on my way to Edinburgh, which is only a 50-minute drive away. The food was good, especially the breakfast fry up. What really sets this place apart is the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. I highly recommend staying here. Called in for lunch and had the fish and chips, one large and one small. Fantastic! Probably the best fish and chips I've ever had in a pub. Great crispy batter and beautiful fish. Highly recommended . Beer was great too. Service: 5 Location: 5
