Bidrage med feedbackWow wow wow! We visited Rickety Gate Wines for the monthly dinner in the restaurant on-site, Kirby's.
My favourite winery in Denmark WA. The staff are always friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to their wines.
I absolutely love this place! Managed to get a booking on Easter Sunday and loved it! Had the tasting plate for entree which was about 5 different things
Just had another gorgeous meal at the Kirby's restaurant at Rickety Gate Winery. What can I say? Superb as always; but this time there's more! The good news or the bad?The bad news is that in the next month (sure it's on the website) the restaurant will close for good. The good news is twofold.Although the restaurant is closing, you'll still be able to take part in cooking classes presented by Chef Fredrick Kirby, as well as book the beautiful locale for catered functions such as weddings. Short term though, there is also something NOT TO BE MISSED! The 'closing menu' is a set one (still with multiple choices per course) and it's a 'best of'. And best of at Kirby's is, well, best of!As usual, our lunch was spot on, with lovely service and impeccable presentation. I was also once again really impressed at the staff's efforts to keep our friends children and our toddler happy over the lunch. There is a children's menu (also a set menu), but for younger ones the lunch kitchen will try their best to drum up something to suit. All the best for the future and thanks to the staff at Kirby's for their hard work and lovely service at our lunch today and over the years!
From the first class restaurant service headed by Jacqueline Kirby to the food to die for created by chef genius Fred Kirby, this is a truly outstanding dining experience. On our favourite places to eat in the world list. Laura & Dave, Perth
