Aloha - Sciacca

We chanced upon this place because I made a wrong turn after leaving the fish harbor at Sciacca, literally. There was a guy outside. I asked if he knew the place and he said it was OK. That turned out to be a typical Sicilian understatement……. Admittedly, if you mind sitting on plastic chairs and using paper napkins, this is not the place for you. BUT number one you sit practically on the beach ! The sea is less than 50 meters away. How they got a permit for that if they ever did beats me, but they have been there since 1993, which is a good sign. Number two, great seafood ! We tried the mixed fried, sharing one, which was light and tasty, followed by clearly homemade fettuccine with sea urchins and then a slice of sword fish with tomatoes and olives. A pistachio parfait concluded the lunch. This being February, the patrons were all local, which is a good sign, but I speak Italian not necessarily a language Sicilians speak with pleasure by the way so getting by was easy. The boss was friendly I did not try his English but he looks like he should not have any language problems and the food arrived quickly. It was superb ! By far the best meal in Sicily so far !!! Try it but be gentle with the family operating this remarkable joint: they look like they don’t suffer fools gladly……. Prices are very reasonable. Cash or credit cards accepted I will certainly be back I will certainly be back

Waited over 1 hr for a cold antipasto starter kids waited over 1.15min for there food asked 4 times for the drinks, very arrogant family ran business, food ok can get the same or even better close by second time here second time disappointed, so rude, was asked by our wedding planner to view for our potential wedding venue NO THANKS, incompetent staff and arrogant owner!, there are another 3 bars close by, spend your money else where. Avoid.

Very nice service, which speaks with our advantage also perfectly German. the chef was also very friendly. after a very good eating with pizza and fried fish there was still a great selection of grappas! highly recommended!

Beach restaurant, where we have to our great good eaten suprise. a dish of pasta with half lobster to the euro and a very good surge, it is impossible to find and yet. The boss was more charming. it comes to get you and return to the hotel on sciaccia for free and rents sun chairs with parasol to euros the day. the sea is clear to wish, in short we spent an excellent day.
