We stayed a week for a holiday in Waltenhofen and arrived here twice on the occasion, as it was easy to reach from our hotel. For the first time we ate trout and deer goulash on the terrace. Despite the space behind the corner, the operation was very attentive. The food was good, the trout lacked only a little spice and the filling with garden herbs was just a branch of parsley to discover. The Spätzle/Knöpfle to the Gulasch were a bit dry, otherwise it tasted. The second time we had a place in the cosy restaurant. This time we decided to pick pudding with semmelknödel: good portion, only the sauce was a little fad. In dessert there was the small portion of Kaiserschmarrn (on the advice of the waitress who was very tasty and still hardly to create two things); Conclusion: Nice, attentive service, nice restaurant, solid food. Here and there a little after-choice, then it fits. Prices are normal for a tourist castle.
Eat well. Operation friendly attentive and fast. Espresso's not at all. Price performance otherwise okay. Beer good. All recommended.
We've been coming to Allgäu for years and go to the winemaker. All the more expensive is clear, but the prices high, and quality down does not fit, meat cooked to the attack, cheese puffs stretched with any means and serves for people who want to lose weight. Thank God we had other experiences with the years.
We were there for the last time in 2019. And the food was very delicious. And in 2022 nothing changed!! The food is still excellent. Food: 5 Service: 5 atmosphere: 5.
