Bidrage med feedbackAs a hiker, one is, of course, happy to find such a place at the destination a defensive stuff for filling the glycogen stores after exhausting march there is in the usual selection, and also the cake offer sounds interesting if we could not try it. But more should not be expected (despite the regularly organized and eagerly advertised Beulches Essens), the card is rather modest. When we ate there on Tuesday, it was very empty, so it shouldn't have been at a full dishwasher that we served the asparagus creams in very simple coffee cups, we really thought we had taken a German cappuccino, because the cream cap sat on top. Should this be a stylistic gag? In any case, the soup spoon hardly came in, and tastefully it also seemed rather unfavorable, because the cream could not really crumble before you came through to the otherwise quite neat soup. The Wiener Schnitzel was of course from the pig, but large and nicely loped, as it belongs, the pommes were also fine. I chose the Rumpsteak with shredded pepper and stone oven bread to €16.90. I don't know what I was expecting, possibly reckoned with a sauce or let me lure through the kind of especially sounding bread, at least the whole matter (without salad) was a bit dry! However, the steak itself was, as desired, exactly fried (medium). The warm Hoppler with vanilla sauce, a baked hare of yeast dough, was a nice tasty. Conclusion: After a hike, the right thing, but nothing for people who want to eat nicely.
The smaller inn on the Hoherodskopf, comfortably furnished, inexpensive in the green area, service ok.
Located on the Hoherodskopf in the Vogelsberg, this inn offers everything you want as a hiker or hiker on a mountain. Despite summer, we arrived at cool 10 degrees frozen and it was pleasantly warm in the house. The house is a tasteful and quite new wooden house with a wonderful part antique interior decoration. In addition to an old stove and old skis, you will also find a small collection of photoaparates etc. We came to Fifth and took place at the central round table, no table was left. Some drank coffee, some played social games, some ate. Very, very cozy! We once took Frankfurt sausages that tasted as they should. Once a Vogelsberger speciality was ordered, the Beulches. A potato-smoke-meat mixture, which was pressed and fried in form. Very tasty! The glow apple wine warmed. The service was fast. All highly recommended, it was certainly not the last visit of us
We sat in the beer garden nice in the fresh air. That's it. I had a Vesperplatte with sausage for dinner. There were 1 slice of ham each 2 pieces of liver sausage liver sausage and 2 pieces of press head and salami!?!? plus 2 slices of cheese plus a small cucumber, horseradish etc. For a housemaker, unfortunately, it had all too little taste and was disappointing. What the salami should be there is still not aware of. Also because of the lazy sausage plastte only 3 stars. The most positive was the great service. The young woman was really great and very friendly, a real light after this rage plate.
When my liquid level arrived at a threatening level, we reached the Hohenrodskopf Klause. Since it was a beautiful sunny day, we naturally set ourselves in the exterior of the alpine-looking building and I extinguished my thirst with a large apple choir. Here, in the outside area, it was possible to sit well even if the view from here is only possible for other locations and the parking lot. You can't have everything...
