Restaurant Hubertus - Schluchsee

My family and I have eaten here several times during our stay at the hotel. the menu itself was good and eating professionally prepared. the highlight, however, was the service of the young waiter adonis (or idonis), who was very well-rounded with all the guests and had exceptional English skills, which helped us. We had some really good meals at three different locations and would like to do it again.

This place literally lies off the beaten paths and is reached over a long and unlikely narrow side lane. it seems to be a hotel, but there were no signs of guests, personal or activities outside the restaurants, and that was quite quiet - given the location it should have been full on a warm summer evening, but there were many empty tables when we arrived at 19.00 a.m. and only slowly filled. the atmosphere was the overall one of a well restored civic house in a rather sleepy city. eating was very good, but definitiw expensive for the opposite and the portions are not particularly generous, although they may pay for the prospect that is quite special.

The restaurant has a beautiful view over the lake. Personal is friendly and fast. the à la carte menu is small, but offers a very good selection of different styles. eating is excellent and simply great. the wine selection is mainly local, but a large selection of different sorts. if they stay in the hotel, then eat here to night;-)

Beautiful location with view of the gorge lake. many beautiful things to choose from on the menu. very delicious and well presented. the waiter seemed to be somewhere else. we did not get the wee we ordered (although the one he brought was excellent). he brought my wife the wrong fish main dish that tasted her (this then caused a problem at the side table as they had to wait until another fish was cooked). at dessert courts, we found that he did not only make them wrong for us, but also for the other two couples present. he tried to be helpful but seemed to have a free day! otherwise a nice eating in a beautiful environment.
