We stayed at the Hotel Salischer Hof for night and decided spontaneousely to have dinner at the hotel restaurant after seeing their menu. We managed to get one of the last tables in the garden restaurant. The service was very friendly and personal. The...menu has a lot of local specialties and local wines. The quality of the food is great and perfectly cooked and presented. If you like local German food then this is a place to check out

I had been at the Salischer Hof well over 30 times over the course of the last five years. Any time the restuarant had very intriguing offerings using local ingredients of the season combined with a refrreshing creativity. The chef not only leans on to traditional German cooking but also borrows from other international cuisines. The dishes of slow cooked meat are definitely as highlight as is the BBQ offerings in summer.The meals are accompanied by wine offerings boith regional German wines as well as French or other international wines which the staff is well educated to give you good recommendations on.One thing that does stands out is that anyone of the staff demonstrades very good behaviour and knows very well how to be always present but not flashy.
