First Catch Fish And Chips

We live in Hornsea and visit Filey regularly. We always get our fish and chips from First Catch and then go onto the cliff top car park to eat them. They have always been good until yesterday when I can only describe what was provided as disgusting, over priced rubbish. Greasy, small poor quality fish and the whole meal looked as if it had been warmed up from the day before. After years of using this fish and chip shop never again. I don't know what has happened to this place but it has certainly gone downhill. My advice would be to avoid and look elsewhere. Yesterday was probably the worst fish and cheap meal we have had in years.

Had large chips and a curry sauce. But it was not how I remembered it a few years ago! Badly cooked inedible chips that taste nothing like the other local chip shops. Unjustifiably miserly portion, which is just a disgusting rip-off! Curry sauce was a watered down mess. All of it ended up in the kitchen bin! Please do yourself a favour by visiting one of the proper fish and chip shops of Filey and avoiding this at all costs!

Was disappointed to find this chippy in darkness at 7.25 pm on a Saturday night! Was looking forward to returning as not been for four years as we are not local and are on holiday. I can’t believe it was closed so early in the evening.

Awful food , full of grease , no scraps on order, lady behind the counter seemed to see customers as a chore to serve ! Do not waste your money in this dirty place ! Cleaning the tables would not go amiss if it's not too much effort !

This used to be the best chippy in Filey...(used to be end of).Has changed into chippy/pizza place and gone quite expensive. A normal fish no chips a large fish& chips a carton of peas and gravy plus two bottles of pop £28 and it wasn't that good. price yourself out of business not going again.
