Food was good location good, service could be better

Host was very hospitable, as Wes the bar person serving me. Very informative and helpful. Dunbar from the bottle was perfect.Lovely well done out place ,a cosy feeling as you walk in. Pool table and telly. A nice relaxing atmosphere.

Ok but no were near what it used to be ,the place was empty and food not up to scratch

Ordered a shandy, and got what tasted like watered down lager, Ordered Whitby scampi, sorry all out of Scampi, this was Friday lunchtime, and we were the only ones in the pub. So we ended up with hunter chicken, the chicken was tender, but covered in tomato ketchup,which drowned the taste. Sad to see what once was a bustling eating venue, serving up the same old pub grub, that is available in most bars.

Food good, not enough and expensive compared to equivalent meal elsewhere. Won't be calling again.
