Popped in for a bite to eat and wasn't disappointed. Excellent food and great portions. I had the cowboy burger and my wife had the hunters chicken. Both enjoyed very much. Such a pleasure to visit, Food was amazing, cooked to perfection, nothing too much for the staff, good facilities, great location, good prices, what more can I say.......Will certainly be back. Take no notice of previous reviews, they cusnt be further from the truth.

Omg party of 7 of us was late on and decided to call at the crown tavern as people saying how good there food ids is since end of Jan 23 so we decided to give it a go 2 bad review lately but nope do not believe what you read.. Call in Thursday night 3 gammons 3 steaks and cod and chips. Service was good and food came out pipping hot. Presentation excellent. All steaks were ask to be all cooked different rare medium rare medium all 3 came out spot on melted in your mouth trimming onion rings mushrooms grilled tomato chips and peas can't go wrong cod was massive tasted so fresh batter was to die for. Excellent job plus the lady chef actual came to ask us if everything was okay what a star very polite and enthusiastic obviously takes pride in what she does. Will be returning excited to do so.

If I could give a zero rating f I would. Took my daughter to lunch noone in the bar all the staff say at a table talking I stood at the bar waiting, when noone came I asked if they were open which they replied yeah, once they served me I stood waiting a while for the to open the till and do the things that should been done on opening. Food arrived and my daughter said it tasted funny and I have to admit it tasted off! What looked to be the cook came out from the kitchen looking like her cloths and self needed washin not a good look! We won't be back what's happned used to be a lovely pub now staff seem to not care one jot about what they're doing.
