Bidrage med feedbackWe had a great time at this restaurant for breakfast. They serve locally sourced food and went out of their way to accommodate my gluten-free dietary needs. The breakfast room is charming with lovely views of the garden.
This bed and breakfast is beautifully located in a charming house, offering delicious breakfasts that will fuel your day of exploration in Whitby and the stunning countryside nearby. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay special. The property is filled with personal touches that make it feel like a home away from home. Nearby pubs offer tasty cider, making it a great recommendation for anyone seeking a weekend getaway in this area.
Lovely food, excellent company and really good staff. you will not be disappointed with this personal touch house and restaurant
We wanted a B&B close to the NYMR min drive to Grosmont) and had Broom House recommended by a friend. From booking to departure nothing was too much trouble for the lovely couple who run the B&B. Georgina and Michael have absolutely pinned down...what a relaxing high class B&B should offer. We stayed in Room huge and spotless and decorated to a high standard. Very comfortable bed and the silence in the area makes for a great night's sleep. Sky and WiFi available in rooms. We didn't want to be tied down to a to key pick up, given we were going on the steam trains, so Georgina arranged for us to be able to pick up the keys on the morning when we arrived. Lovely touches such as the option of a Whitby Kipper for breakfast; fresh coffee; homemade smoothies and jam; gorgeous local bacon and sausages and a very nice dining room to eat it in overlooking a very sweet garden made for a great stay. There is a sitting room for residents with DVDs to use in your room; magazines and fresh milk. We had biscuits and brownies in the room on return too. I would highly recommend this B&B. There are plenty nearby restaurants and lots and lots of places to walk to and visit. We will be using Broom House as our base now for trips to the NYMR. Thanks to all the staff for chilling us out and allowing us to leave well refreshed.
The Broomhouse and its owners were pleasant, but the room we thought we had paid for turned out to be overpriced for just a view of a barn. We were also misled about being able to see the steamtrains from the front window unless you are very tall. The room was dimly lit until we found the light switch after climbing several flights of stairs. As is common with most bed and breakfasts, the breakfast was lacking as the owners did not serve beans. Overall, it was not a good value for the money.
