Sushi Kuni - Scarborough

Cosy little restaurant near the beach that often have specials. The variety and quality of food here is excellent.

I have to really love a place or really have a terrible experience to leave a review. This is my third or fourth visit to Sushi Kuni and one thing they excel at, is failing. • They fail to greet you, answer their phone or Facebook messages. • Fail to provide sufficient food on the train to feed the existing diners. • Fail to initiate an order and then fail to actually make it once you convince them to take it. They fail to deliver the parts they did bother to create in a timely manner and completely fail to explain why your order has been forgotten. • They ran out of food (every SINGLE ITEM WE ORDERED) and then had the audacity to suggest we order some take away to take home with us. • They tried to overcharge us twice, offered us a 10% discount to us for our "difficulties" but then failed to give it to us. And when I asked for it again, they bamboozled themselves (and us) until we walked away in disgust. While tonight's episode was truly terrible, on ALL occasions, we have experienced at least three of these issues. Tonight we just happened to have the whole lot in one go. Considering there are so many fantastic sushi options on the peninsula, I cannot imagine why anyone would bother visiting Sushi Kuni. I know I won't do it again.

This was a lovely relaxed visit with a great choice of sushi, all of which was yummy. the service was great and the ambience was very relaxed, would definitley go again.

Went in with my family of six. We were sat in an area where the sushi conveyor couldn't reach our second table. I had gotten up to look in the refrigerator for drinks as we were ignored from the time we were told where to sit. I let my step son eat two plates after being incredibly frustrated. I told my family we are leaving. After getting up the waitress finally counted the seven dollars in sushi eaten between the six of us. We went down the street to eat at another sushi bar.

If anyone is around here please grab one, Often stop by for a sushi roll here, always fresh and tasty and friendly staff, will be back.
