Preece's at the Jetty - Scarborough

A beautiful relaxing location by the sea saw us have a well cooked quickly served tasty lunch followed by a sumptuous hearty breakfast the next day. There were four of us on both occasions and we were all impressed by the courteous and friendly service as well as the quality of our individual meals. We'll be back!

The service at dinner was friendly but very slow, to the extent that we were talking about leaving when we hadn't been spoken to 10 minutes after sitting down.Eventually we were offered a drink, and we ordered our meals at the same time. The drinks took 10 minutes to arrive, and the meal took 40 minutes. By this time we were a bit cranky, as it was not overly busy on a Tuesday night, and there seemed to be staff wandering around without much to do.But I have to say we were pleasantly surprised by the food. The prawn and caper ravioli was insanely good, the goats cheese & onion bread was right up there, and my fussy husband polished off his whole capricciosa pizza.We were not offered another drink, and nobody cleared our table after the meal, despite us sitting there for at least 15 minutes with empty plates and glasses.So from a poor start, and poor service, the meal turned out to be exceptional.We'll give this place another try, but I certainly hope they make some improvements on their service. Friendly smiles and apologies are simply not enough.

Recently visited with friends and was very pleased with the service, the meals and the price. Service was quick and friendly and a good choice of food on the menu. Also a good selection of cakes and good coffee

Whenever we have gone to Preece's at Redcliffe whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner I can honestly say we have never been disappointed, so I thought I better give them a mention. Tonight we started with the Peach sorbet tea, it was an unusual way to have iced tea with sorbet in it but so delicious and refreshing we both had two. We had chicken parmigiana and the pumpkin pizza they were large servings, beautifully cooked and very fresh.We both could not finish our delicious meals and the waitress asked us if we wanted to take it home. Thank you for your lovely food and awesome service, the girls really know their menu which helps a lot too when ordering.... we will be back!
