Punjabi Dhaba - Sayre

This restaurant has potential for vegetarians, but it may not be suitable for vegans. I inquired about vegan options, even providing my "I am a vegan" message in Punjabi, but was still offered dishes with yogurt and bread with ghee. The server insisted that the dish only contained "a little" milk, showing a lack of understanding about veganism. It was disappointing.

This restaurant is definitely vegetarian-friendly, but they did not understand that I requested a vegan meal and mistakenly included yogurt twice. I ordered my food to go and when I opened it, I found that it was mostly contaminated with yogurt. The parts that were edible tasted delicious, but unfortunately, I was unable to eat most of it due to the yogurt.

The food at this restaurant is amazing, especially for those who enjoy spicy dishes. It doesn't appear to be completely vegetarian, as there may have been a mistake. The staff we interacted with didn't speak much English, but others in the restaurant helped translate for us. Overall, it's a hidden gem off of I-40.

Legit Indian food in a truck stop of all places! exactly on I-40! most articles are vegan, the only non-vegan items are the Indian tee and Indian yogurt everything else is full vegan. excellent eating!
