Trout was so small (maybe 10cm) as to surely be an illegal catch, with such an under-developed skeleton that the backbone disintegrated and made every mouthful a hazard. Sides accompanying the main appeared to have been made about a week earlier. My husband's saucisses were very undercooked. Dessert tarte was burnt on the bottom, also appeared to have been made some time ago. It's a cute location and the wine was cheap, that's about the best thing that I can say. Wouldn't go back.
Sunday lunch at Le Chalet this week was absolutely super. From the menu de jour I chose the asparagus salad good variety of leaves, plenty of tender asparagus topped with chevre and jambon sec, followed by melt in the mouth lamb served with fried potatoes and a salad garnish and topped off with chocolate fondant in a sea of creme anglais. Beautifully cooked, well presented and somewhere I would recommend, as well as being happy that it is only 20 minutes from home. Price including a glass of perfectly acceptable red and coffee to finish was a mere 22.50 Euros per person.
Admittedly really good, but far too expensive for the too small quantities served on the plate. Moreover the service is catastrophic (Waitress who blows as soon as a dish does not please her, sends the customer to graze as soon as he asks a question). After this restaurant is only in its infancy and the essential (taste) is there. Hoping that he will improve on these annoying points which are, for the moment, prohibitive in my opinion.
We love to sit on the terrace for a good little dinner with the friends. we eat well for cheap and the welcome is very pleasant. we really recommend you!
Very warm welcome of yannick! small comfortable restaurant typical ... the meal is excellent with local products very well cooked. Don’t hesitate to stop there
