Andy's Seafood Co - Saugus

Greg and his wife are wonderful people. The seafood is fresh and is the best quality I can find in my area. I would recommend anyone to shop here.

Seafood is fresh. Placed an order for Christmas Eve and was not disappointed. Will continue to shop there. One question: Where is Andy?

Tonight's dinner comes with a little backstory. I recently picked up a lovely piece of salmon from Andy's. We've lived nearby for over 20 years, yet I had never stepped inside before. After spending nothing at Town Fair Tire to fix my tire (just a nail in the tread), I decided to stop by the shop next door for some good fish. I met the owner, who turned out to be a really nice guy. I asked him if the shop had been around forever, and he told me he started working there with his parents when he was just six years old. So for him, it truly feels like forever. He seemed to be about our age, so you get the idea. He asked me how thick I wanted the salmon, what weight I preferred, and if I wanted the skin on or off (I definitely opted for the skin for the added flavor). He rounded the weight down and the price up, charging me $5.00 instead of $4.50. There were smiles and handshakes, and honestly, it’s worth a little extra to support a local family business, right? I've been making lobster pie for Christmas Eve for 10 years now. I used to buy my lobster meat in Burlington and then Reading, but both places have closed down. Since I work in Saugus, I decided to try Andy's Seafood. The woman who took my phone order was very friendly and helpful. My order was ready for me exactly when she said it would be—Monday at noon. When I started preparing it, I noticed how nice and clean the meat was, without any roe or other unwanted bits that I've encountered at other shops. After cooking my lobster pie, I can honestly say it was absolutely delicious, with generous pieces of tender, sweet lobster. I was so impressed that I just placed an order for New Year's and signed up to write this review. Unlike some other places, they didn't hike up their prices for the holiday. Give them a try—you won't be disappointed!

We ordered from Andy's for Christmas Eve and were incredibly satisfied. We'll definitely be getting our fish from them moving forward. Everything tasted remarkably fresh. The steamers were so sweet that I didn’t even need to dip them in butter! The customer service was outstanding as well. Fred and Heidi were exceptionally accommodating and helpful.
